Reach work closely with the Paratriathlon Team and are really pleased to share the exciting news below from Alasdair Donaldson, which is open to all our members.
“We are pleased to be able to highlight an offer from British Triathlon to Reach members. British Triathlon will be hosting a Virtual Paratriathlon Talent ID event on Saturday 17th April and if you are interested then you are encouraged to sign and find out more about this exciting and dynamic sport.
As the event is starting with a Virtual session there are no restrictions to the numbers they can cater for so if you think you might be interested come along and join in. Reach members have a history of significant success in Paratriathlon with Claire Cashmore being the current World Champion, having previously been a multi-medallist swimmer, and Lauren Steadman is the current Paralympic silver medallist and has won three World titles.
Taking place across three disciplines; swim, bike and run, paratriathlon is an exhilarating blend of three sports that see’s athletes compete in a time trial format. The sport houses athletes with a variety of different strengths, creating thrilling racing as competitors try and gain the advantage over the opposition across each discipline.
This is the first time British Triathlon have started the TID journey online, making the process more flexible and allowing for a greater number of athletes to engage with the sport. On the day, athletes will learn about the sport, how the classification system and performance pathways work, and will have the chance to meet with other athletes who are already making their way through the pathway.
You can find out more about the day and sign up on this link: Talent ID Page
Should you have any questions at all please get in touch with Alasdair Donaldson at British Triathlon on email@example.com “
Reach is also starting to work with the Para swimming pathway team and hopefully we will have some exciting news for our members about a possible meet in the summer.
From the Reach Team.
