You must be a member of Reach to attend the family weekend, it will be in person but also via an online platform so we can include as many people as possible.
Booking is essential to secure your places at the conference, children’s activities and childcare and evening seated buffet and disco/entertainment.
Details of the weekend
There are lots of areas that you will be able to sit and chat informally with each other, plus a constant supply of hot and cold drinks, snacks, and fruit throughout the day. Lunch will be provided for everyone who signs up for the conference and for all children and young people at workshops and in childcare.
Many have of you have already booked you accommodation, but for those still to book here are the details. You book directly with the accommodation not through Reach.
There is a wide selection of rooms at The Woodland Grange please RING or EMAIL them (do not use the website booking form) firstname.lastname@example.org , 01926 336621, tell them you are part of the Reach weekend – you are only paying for the room with them not food or evening event. Those for those of you who were quick off the mark you will have managed to get the bigger family rooms. Natalie, who is our contact there has told us that there are the following rooms still available for families:
- 29 x Double rooms that could fit 1 small camp bed or cot in
- 8 x Double rooms that can fit 1 travel cot in
If you have your own cot/roll out bed, please let them know and you can bring them along with you, if you do not have one, we have been given the name of a company who can hire them out. Let us know if you need one. Also, if you have a little one that is happy to sleep with you in the double bed then the hotel says there is no issues with that.
Alternatively, if you do need a bigger family room you can stay at the Chesford Grange – 01926 859331 which is about a 5-min drive away or The Premier Inn which is also 5 minutes away or The Travel Lodge which is an 8-minute drive away. We are hoping to organise a mini bus from the other hotels to the evening event.
The conference will be starting at 11am. This is to give people the opportunity to travel on the Saturday morning, so they do not have to pay for two-nights’ accommodation if they prefer not to. It will also mean that we can organise a family activity on the Sunday morning for you all if you would like to join in.
Reach staff will be at the hotel on the Friday night, and we know that some of you have already booked two nights, so we will be able to get together informally for a catch up.
