Lauren is a 3 Time Paralympian & Rio Silver Medallist, and also the current World & European Champion – a title which she has won 3 and 6 times respectively.

Winner of the 2019 Christmas Star Baker, and 2018 semi finalist in the Great British Bake Off, Briony will be demonstrating one of her recipes and judging members creative results for our very own Reach Bake Off!

Alex is an Ambassador for Reach, and a returning inspirational speaker to our Family Weekend. Alex will be sharing stories of his life and his varied television career including co-hosting the hugely popular Last Leg and more recently the BBC documentary Disability and Me.
“All my conversations I’ve ever really had about being a disabled man, I’ve had on telly. It’s a really strange thing, and it makes you feel quite exposed. But at the same time, I really hope that the audience take something from the fact that it is so, so personal.”

Miles will be sharing stories of his life and his fascinating career working in leadership and organisation development alongside being an independent trainer, coach/mentor and meeting facilitator.
Miles was born with upper limb phocomelia (very short malformed arms) caused by the drug Thalidomide. Miles has an ‘everything is possible’ attitude and his varied careers and personal achievements very much prove this.
Reach member Jennie is a qualified Primary school teacher. As a returning speaker Jennie will continue to share her career journey and the exciting direction her own experiences have lead her to be involved with today.
Reach member Max Swinhoe, a Freelance Copywriter, was born with an Ischemic Contracture of the left arm. It was suspected that the umbilical cord obstructed growth of Max’s arm, wrapping around it, which was not picked up in scans.
Max and her husband Tom are avid explorers and travellers of the world, with plans halted due to Covid, they didn’t give up and have now taken the opportunity to convert a van and set themselves a new challenge,‘Walk for Good 2020’.
