This year we were determined that RAW would go ahead, not even a lock down and restrictions were going to stop the RAW 2020 members from making a connection and having fun.
Debs & Kate worked with Tony Addison (RAW mentor) and came up with some daily challenges, these created the base for the RAW Challenge pack that was sent out to all those who signed up along with a Reach sack bag, Reach Face mask, Reach T Shirt and some popcorn (for film night).
14 Reach members signed up along with Mentors – Tony, Esther, & Jess. Leaders were Jo & Claire (though Claire was working long hours so not able to join in as much as she would have liked), staff Debs & Kate and Reach Trustee Julie. A closed Facebook group was created and permission sought from parents to allow younger children to use this platform.
The Challenges consisted of:
Sunday 26th July
Design a RAW logo!
A logo that we can adopt officially for RAW going forwards. It should link to the Reach logo in some way if possible (maybe font or colours), but incorporate the adventure, independence, fun and friendships that you experience at RAW.

Q&A with Claire Cashmore
As usual Claire was Fab-u-lous, she gave us background information on her life and career, talked about her training and excitement about Tokyo 2021. Claire was happy to answer all the questions that were put to her and told the RAW members that she was always there if they needed a listening ear. Claire is such an inspiring Ambassador for Reach, we are so lucky to have her supporting us.
