We are delighted to now open bookings for this year’s Reach Activity Week, to be held Sunday 30th July – 6th August 2023
RAW is one of our most popular and long-standing annual events, running for over 20 years. Reach children aged 10 – 17 years have a fabulous opportunity to spend 7 days taking part in fun outdoor activities and exciting adventures whilst also getting to challenge themselves around like-minded people.
All participants are looked after and supervised by trained Reach mentors. Friends are made for life and many return year after year, some going on to become the mentors that helped and supported them in their younger years.
This Years venue is Carlton Lodge Activity Centre, in the heart of North Yorkshire, will be welcoming us back for another fun packed itinerary. The week is all-inclusive, with all accommodation, meals, activities, instructor costs and coach travel within Great Britain included within the price.
Reach heavily subsidies the event for all attendees, and this year we are seeking a minimum contribution of £395 per child. The actual cost to Reach is closer to £650+, and we are most grateful to those families who are able to contribute nearer to the full amount.
As a charity though, it’s our mission to make what we do available to as many young people as possible and we do not want financial constraints to be a barrier to anyone’s attendance. If your child would like to go to RAW but the £395 contribution is too much for you this year, please get in touch with head office at reach@reach.org.uk and we will discuss what we can do to help subsidise the place further.
Getting together and spending quality time with those who ‘just know’ is priceless, the best advocates for this event are those who attend.
“RAW is somewhere I can push myself but also feel comfortable for who I am. It’s an atmosphere you can’t recreate anywhere else.”
“It is just a place where no one is judged and everyone is the same and there’s always help with stuff that you can’t do.”
