A consortium of UK charities working to support children, young people and adults with limb loss or difference have joined forces to celebrate and promote Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month this April. #LLLDAM
Together We Can Do More
During the month, we will collectively raise awareness about living with limb loss and limb difference through our websites and social media platforms (#LLLDAM). We believe that by working together we can achieve more, reach more people with limb loss and limb difference across the UK, and do more to support our collective community members at home when they need us the most. Creating a central online hub will allow amputees and those with limb difference to access the right support for them and to learn more about the organisations which can help them. You too can help the recognition and celebration of #LLLDAM and #LimbLossLimbDifferenceAwarenessMonth by spreading the word using the Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month social media logo’s and assets.
We’re super proud to be working with Finding Your Feet; LimbPower; The Limbless Association (LA); REACH and Steel Bones, and support groups: The Amputation Foundation; BOLDkids; The IAMPOSSIBLE Foundation; Jo’s Odd Shoes; The LimbBo Foundation; MAAF (The Midlands Association for Amputees and Friends); Opus and PIP-UK. You’ll find links to them all on the website and we hope that you’ll enjoy discovering all they have to offer.
