Every year our Reach kids can have the opportunity to meet, bond and go on an adventure of a lifetime – one that they will remember for years to come – at our annual RAW event held every summer.
Don’t worry mum, I’m with my people.
RAW Participant 2022/23
RAW is one of our most popular and long-standing annual events, running for over 25 years. Open to children aged 10 – 17, a fabulous opportunity to spend 7 days taking part in fun outdoor activities and exciting adventures. From abseiling, to canoeing, to rock climbing, our activity weeks are jam packed with exciting new activities. Your child will learn how to solve problems, act as part of a team and build friendships with other kids who look like and navigate the world as they do.
This was my daughters first RAW and I cannot express enough how much she benefited from being with other people with an upper limb difference. She is the only person at school with a limb difference and constantly hides her hand when not indoors. She has a week just being her, feeling comfortable and with people who totally understand how she feels. – Reach Parent 2024
Highlight of the year
RAW Participant 2023
A requirement of our volunteer mentors, as well as being fully trained and DBS checked, is that they also have a limb difference, so your child will have the experts at their service! Our mentors travel with and stay at the accommodation all week with the children and are available to look after and support them as they learn and grow with each new challenge.
It’s extremely valuable to know our child is not missing out on any of these adventure activities that many schools take groups to. Our son has made some of his closest friendships at RAW and we know he feels more confident in himself because of them.

We want to try, where we can, to make sure money is not a barrier to reach families participation in Reach events. We have an activity bursary that reach families can apply to. More information can be found here:
