Hi, I’m Julie, safeguarding lead; I have been a member of Reach since 1999 and a trustee since 2007. I joined Reach shortly after the birth of my son, Matthew.
Reach has always played an important part of our lives, providing support and opportunities to meet others, on a similar journey, at both local branch activities and the annual family weekend. Matthew has also had some great experiences participating in Reach Activity Week. As a family, we have undertaken a variety of events to raise funds and awareness of the charity – from coffee mornings and pudding clubs to running and cycling events.
My day job is Head of Business Studies in a secondary school, and I also volunteer as a leader with Girlguiding.
