15 families joined Reach at Patterdale Hall in the Lake District recently for a weekend of activity to prove that Reach children have no limits. 52 children, parents and grandparents were able to try climbing, canoeing, bush craft, the low ropes course and gorge scrambling – all went down a storm.
The weekend was planned to build on the success of the Scottish annual weekend, where friendships and support networks for families are created that stand the test of time. We are delighted that this weekend can be celebrated as a resounding success with 60% of the children trying activities they had never had the opportunity to try before, and parents telling us that meeting other Reach children was the top benefit of the weekend.
